Make plans to participate now and invite someone to join you!
We believe that just as Jesus Christ came to serve man, we are called to love our neighbors through kindness and service! We are taking a Saturday morning to mobilize our church to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community. We plan to organize our body into teams and send them out to serve at various initiatives/locations across Elkhart County (Hubbard Hill, LaCasa, Loveway, Lifeline, The Post, Five Star, World Missionary Press, Goshen Theater, Goshen Interfaith, ADEC, Law Enforcement Appreciation, Greencroft, Courtyard, & Faith Mission).
8:30am – Meet for Worship, Prayer, & Send-off from Sugar Grove Church
9:00am – Teams On-Site, Ready to SERVE
11:45am – Wrap-Up, Share Stories, & Celebrate
Serve initiatives include:
- Landscaping (weeding, trimming, mulch, etc.)
- Light Labor (organizing, boxing, painting, stacking wood, etc.)
- Heavy Labor (demolition, construction, etc.)
- Parking Attendant for Law Enforcement Event
- Visit elderly/special needs
- Child care for other volunteers
The pastor appreciation reception is a chance to celebrate the men that God has given us to lead Sugar Grove Church. We want to show our appreciation for the ministry they and their families have to our church family.
On Sunday morning, October 15th, the Pastors and their wives will be available in the Commons so you may verbally thank them for all they do. There will be a cake reception after each service & a place for you to leave cards for each Pastor. Involve your children in this as well. God has richly blessed us and we want to thank Him as well as our Pastors!
Over the next several weeks you have the opportunity to give, above your normal giving, to the Pastor Appreciation Fund using the form below. The money collected will be divided among each of our five Pastors.
Feel like your family just goes through the motions? Sure, you spend time together—but everyone’s focus seems to be somewhere else? We invite you to Family Fest on Oct. 15th, an event we’ve specifically designed to help your family engage, play, talk, laugh and work together. We simply want to give you an experience to remember, one that brings you closer together.
October 27th– 29th

Starting Point // Pathway – Step 1
Whether you’re new or have been here a while, this is the first step to partnering with us. Come meet our ministry team and discover more about the heart & vision of Sugar Grove Church. Meet in the Commons to join us for lunch on Sunday, Nov. 12th at 12:15pm. Lunch is free & childcare is provided, so register below!
Sunday, Dec. 10th we will be celebrating those who have accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior and desire to be baptized. If you or your child have given your life to Christ and haven’t been baptized, then we want to invite you to take your next step in your faith journey in one of our Sunday services. Baptism is something we really celebrate here at Sugar Grove so be sure to join us.
There will be a brief meeting you need to attend at 6:30pm the Wednesday evening prior to baptism.
On Dec. 17th, we will be having Child Dedication (services will be held at 9:30 and 11:00). This is a chance for families to acknowledge their commitment to raising their children in the ways of the Lord. If you are interested in dedicating your child, you will need to attend the prep class on the Wednesday before, which will prepare you for the dedication service, as well as give you helpful early childhood parenting tools.
